With the recent publishing of a fairly serious attack against the SHA-1
digest algrithm*, it's clearly time for some gpg/pgp key updates.

So here we go, up until today my @reed.edu pgp key was:

pub   1024D/6AF52019 2000-12-29 Ben Poliakoff <benp@reed.edu>
 Primary key fingerprint: A131 F813 7A0F C5B7 E74D  C972 9118 A94D 6AF5 2019

I now have a new key:

pub   4096R/318B6A97 2009-05-11 Ben Poliakoff <benp@reed.edu>
 Primary key fingerprint: 3F23 EBC8 B73E 92B7 0A67  705A 8219 DCF0 318B 6A97

The new key is available on the public keyserver network and can be retrieved
with a command like this:

    gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv-keys 318B6A97

The new key is also available on my reed.edu web site:

    http://www.reed.edu/~benp/key.txt

The new key is signed by my old key, if you already have my old key you 
should be able to verify that signature with a command like this one:

    gpg --check-sigs 318B6A97

Please note: This text is signed with both my old key (6AF52019) and my
new key (318B6A97):
