Discussion of strategies for implementation & sustainability

Technology - What technologies are most suited to web development in our environments? How are we grappling with the challenge of getting data out of Banner? When do "buy vs. build" choices come into play?

Design - How can we best design projects to meet our immediate and longer-term needs? There is a certain investment in overhead for a project that is "built to last" - how much overhead is worth it? What are the trade offs in rapid development? What is the balance point?

People - How can we best organize our administrative systems and web development staff? What is an optimal division of labor? How important is cross-training?

Discussion of Collaboration

Can we identify a development environment that will enable us to co-develop web applications? If so, what project? Identify the project outcomes, division of labor, etc.

What are the other ways we can think about collaborating, regardless of whether we're using the same development tools?

How can we share, design and implementation strategies, business logic, user interface design, expertise?

How can we involve people in the functional areas we serve (business office, registrar, advancement, etc.)?
