 The enormous
London plane tree in the courtyard of the student union has been in the
middle of campus life for decades. It has endured climbing Reedies and
countless Renn Faires and somehow it still manages to thrive.
Several other
trees on this map are also noteworthy. Near the Health Center you can
find Reed's only bald cypress and one of the few Austrian pines on campus.
And the plum tree on the edge of the amphitheater is worth a visit in
the late summer, when it always bears a heavy crop of fruit.
