This area near the center of the campus includes several notable trees. On the east side of the sports center you'll find one of the few old Doug firs on campus that hasn't lost its lower branches, giving you a chance to see the limbs up close. There's also a nice grove of dawn redwoods beside the cafeteria in the campus center and an impressive group of three large beeches across from the entrance to the auditorium.
