Sustainability at Reed

Reed Canyon Day

Recycling and Waste Management

Reed College works diligently to inform facilities staff and others on waste management procedures, divert recyclables from the waste stream when possible, and provide education on recycling activities.

Facilities staff in turn works with residence life and student organizations to involve students in waste/recycling.

Reed recycles a variety of materials, including:

  • Bottles
  • Cans
  • Plastic
  • Wood
  • Paper
  • Cardboard
  • Metal
  • Tires
