With global warming and gas prices grabbing headlines, we need to rethink how we get around, and Oregonians are leading the way forward. The summit, part of the National Teach-In on Global Warming, will feature local experts on bicycling, public transit, car-sharing, land use, and much more. Join us in addressing recent turns in our transportation system and sharing insights on possible routes to a sustainable future. Participants include Elly Blue ’05, managing editor of Bikeportland.org and coordinator of 2008 Towards Carfree Cities Conference; Roger Geller, bicycle coordinator for the Portland Bureau of Transportation; Kaleb Miller, Portland marketing manager for Zipcar; and Bob Stacey ’72, executive director of 1000 Friends of Oregon and former TriMet executive director of policy and planning. Hosted by Reed College Greenboard.
