Reed Outing Club
Welcome to the Reed Outing Club Website! ROC is one of several groups that offer outdoor activities for the Reed Community, along with the Gray Fund and the Sports Center PE classes. In contrast to the other two groups, ROC is a group oriented towards student led trips and the development of student leadership in the Reed Community. We look for students who are interested in the outdoors and willing to take on some of the responsibility of getting those trips off the ground, and help them share their love of the outdoors with other Reed students.
ROC is all about trips, but it is not all about trips. We have plenty of on-campus clinics and activities as well, from stove cleaning clinics to Wilderness First Responder classes to ROC socials--the outing club is the epicenter of outdoor activity at Reed. Sign up on roclist, the mailman list for the outing club, to find out more and keep informed about ROC activities. You can also check the archives at the mailman site for past messages, once you join.
ROC is organized through Will Symms and the ROC Coordinators. We are happy to talk to you guys at any time, just email us, stop us and talk to us, or make an appointment, and we will help you get your trip or your idea off the ground! Or you can email email@example.com to send a general message to all four of us. See you on the trails!
