    & Washington, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, Illinois, New Hampshire
  • Mean combined SAT score: 1347
  • Average GPA: 3.7
  • 33 from Reed families, including one fourth-generation Reedie
  • 45% men, 55% women
  • 5% valedictorians, 51% in top 10 percent of class
  • 65% from public, 28% from private, and 5% from parochial schools
  • 16% self-identify as minorities
  • 11% are first-generation college students

Various Freshman have:

  • won state, national, and world equestrian championships
  • been a member of the Italian national rugby team
  • won a national debate championship
  • won an international computer programming contest
  • played tuba for the Bands of America’s grand national championship team
  • qualified twice nationally for the Future Business Leaders of America
  • taken third place in the Ms. Texas Drag Queen contest
  • served as a page in North Carolina’s governor’s office
  • presented a quilt to Rosa Parks
  • spent the last 2 years hiking the Appalachian Trail and traveling across Europe
  • spent the last 4 years writing a novel in New York City
  • designed a font
  • learned to walk on Arlo Guthrie’s touring bus
  • played in the Ethiopian International youth orchestra
