Psych dept. retreat- a fusion of hard work and fun

The faculty and students from Reed's psychology department participated in an unusual weekend retreat last spring. The retreat was named in honor of the late Les Squier, professor emeritus of psychology, and funded in part by donations in his memory. Explains professor of psychology Allen Neuringer, "Les had the highest level of commitment to teaching and intellectual pursuit, and at the same time social interactions were of the utmost importance to him. We felt this retreat was a fitting tribute and one we hope to do again."

The weekend combined silly games, music and serious academic inquiry

Informal discussion, kicked off by faculty members, allowed students and professors to become better acquainted.
