Alumni office welcomes Michelle Burnett

In late August Michelle Burnett joined the Reed alumni relations office as its new assistant director. She has an M.Ed. in higher education administration from the University of South Carolina and four years of experience in alumni programming and student advising. She worked most recently as associate alumni director at Furman University. She is also a classically trained musician who teaches piano and voice and loves to perform chamber music.

Alumni board notice of nominations

In accordance with the constitution of the Reed College alumni association and following a call for nominations to all alumni in the May 1999 Reed magazine, the nominating committee of the alumni association hereby gives notice of the following nominations to the alumni board. All terms begin July 1, 2000.

Sally Snyder Brunette '83

Bellevue, Washington. B.A. history. Occupation: fundraising consultant, the Collins Group. Reed-related activities: current vice president of the alumni association, former secretary of the alumni association, admission and career services alumni volunteer. Past chapter chair.

VICE PRESIDENT (ONE-YEAR TERM)
John Sheehy '82

Petaluma, California. B.A. English. Occupation: writer, publisher, and community organizer. Reed-related activities: current secretary of the alumni association, class of '21 award winner, past career services alumni volunteer, past chair of the alumni association outreach committee. Member of the Reed magazine advisory board since 1996.

Portland, Oregon. B.A. psychology. Occupation: policy planing and grants management related to youth employment and involvement programs, city of Portland. Previous work: on staff of state representative and county commissioner. Reed-related activities: career alumni volunteer, active member of the rugby players.
