ReedLink, a password-protected website, is a collection of services that allow alumni to stay
in touch with each other and the college. The site lists class notes, volunteer and job opportunities,
and, of course, online contact information for Reed alumni. ReedLink also contains class
albums for reunion years so you can read about your classmates well before your reunion.

registrants will be asked to enter their Reed ID, (your six-digit number is on the mailing
label of this magazine) and birthdate, and create a password to get started.
INSURANCE AVAILABLE
The alumni relations office offers short-term medical insurance to new graduates and other
alumni who need temporary insurance. Interested alumni may call Meyer and Associates at 800/635-7801.
Camp Westwind 2005
The weekend retreat at Camp Westwind for alumni and their families, sponsored by the Portland
alumni chapter, will be October 14–16. Join alumni from a variety of eras and swap
Old Reed stories and songs in a beautiful forested setting on the Oregon coast. A limited
number of reduced-rate spaces are available for kitchen crew people. Read

Good spam or bad spam?
Do you ever feel as though you have lost touch with the pulse of the Reed community? Or do
you hear about events from a friend and wonder why the email announcement never made it to
your inbox? You may not be receiving all our news and
invitations if your email program is mistaking them for spam. Here in the alumni office, we have
noticed an increase in the number of emails that are returned to us. Since email programs filter
out spam in different ways, there is no universal way to keep group email from Reed from being
blocked. However, we encourage you to become familiar with your own filter settings, if you
haven't already, so that you can perhaps prevent such interceptions. Otherwise, you may never
know what you are missing!
Baristas Reunite
Plans are underway for a mini reunion of Paradox managers as part of Reunions 2006,
May 30-June 4.
Matt Giraud '85 and Mike Magrath '84 are spearheading this effort and would love to
hear from you if you were a Paradox manager during your student days at Reed, or if you
have Paradox pictures or memorabilia that you would like to share. Please email Matt or Mike.
