Harriett “Tee” Taggart joins the board of trustees
Harriett “Tee” Taggart was named a Reed trustee at the board’s
February meeting; she will serve a five-year term. Taggart is a partner, senior vice president, global
industry
analyst, and sector portfolio manager at Wellington Management Company, Boston. Taggart, a native of
the Netherlands, travels extensively, culling firsthand research on the companies she covers, getting
to know management personally, and studying balance sheets and cash flow statements. She also delves
into the history and cultures of their countries to understand the context in which they operate. She
earned her B.A. from Smith College magna cum laude, her M.A. from Harvard University, and
her Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Taggart and her husband, Jack Turner, are
members of
the Reed Parent Council; their son, Lincoln, graduated from Reed in December as a religion major.
