Harriett “Tee” Taggart was named a Reed trustee at the board’s February meeting; she will serve a five-year term. Taggart is a partner, senior vice president, global industry analyst, and sector portfolio manager at Wellington Management Company, Boston. Taggart, a native of the Netherlands, travels extensively, culling firsthand research on the companies she covers, getting to know management personally, and studying balance sheets and cash flow statements. She also delves into the history and cultures of their countries to understand the context in which they operate. She earned her B.A. from Smith College magna cum laude, her M.A. from Harvard University, and her Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Taggart and her husband, Jack Turner, are members of the Reed Parent Council; their son, Lincoln, graduated from Reed in December as a religion major. End of Article
