Southern California
The southern California book group meets the second Sunday of each month at a member's home. Members take turns choosing selections. The May selection is Nikolai Gogol's Dead Souls. Alumni visiting from out of the area are invited to read the book, call for the location, and join us. The annual chapter picnic is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, September 17, at a lovely park in Culver City.
For information about chapter activities, call Robert Hadley '53 at 310/391-1427 or send email to bobpathadley@aol.com.
Washington, D.C.
The Washington, D.C., chapter hosted a Reed on the Road lecture by math professor Tom Wieting in April. Many thanks to Paul Levy '73, who has coordinated a group to attend the D.C. United vs. the New England Revolution soccer game on May 13. If you have any questions or wish to get more involved in the chapter, call or write Dave Baxter '87 at 410/325-4038 or davesmaint@aol.com.
