PARTAKE OF SOME PIG-CHEER
The tradition may have come from Oxford, but Reed’s own boar’s-head procession
is still celebrated with accustomed ceremony at our annual holiday party. Please help
us keep this beloved custom alive by joining the boar’s-head ensemble singers
on Saturday, December 10.

ALUMNI DIRECTORY DUE TO RETURN
Somewhere between the return of the swallows to San Juan Capistrano (or the buzzards
to Hinkley, Ohio) and Haley’s comet, is the Reed College alumni directory. It’s
been five years since our last endeavor, and thus is it is time to launch another alumni
directory. This go ‘round we have contracted with Harris Publishing Company to
help manage the effort and to print and market the directory.
Over the course of the last years, many alumni have commented that these directories
are very useful. They help us keep abreast of one another, and assist in building
chapter events or networking. The data in these directories helps Reed as well.
We use this data in making foundation requests and in supporting students seeking
internships and career placement.
Thanks for participating in our alumni directory project.
Best wishes,
Mike Teskey, director of
alumni relations
