REED VICTORIOUS OVER CYBERSQUATTER
Reed College has won its case against the cybersquatter who registered the domain name reedcollege.com and was using it to redirect users to a series of anti-abortion websites. In the May 13 decision, the National Arbitration Forum panelist who reviewed Reed’s complaint under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy ordered that the domain name “reedcollege.com” be transferred to the college.


FILM SHOW AT THE COOLEY GALLERY

Film Show pictureFilm Show, an exhibition of a range of artist’s responses to narrative cinema, will open at the Cooley Gallery in late August and run until October. The show is curated by Rupert Jenkins, gallery director at the San Francisco Arts Commission, assisted by artist and curator Stephanie Snyder ’91. The project presents work by Jesse Amado, Rick Danielson, Guillermo Gomez-Pena, Les LeVeque, Yasumasa Morimura, Stephanie Snyder, Ethan Jackson (Reed visiting professor of art), Annu Palakunnathu Matthew, and Rupert Jenkins, offeriwng a critical perspective with which to pursue an understanding of film’s insatiable influence on our everyday lives, dreams, and fantasies.
