CALL FOR CALLIGRAPHY AND BOOK ARTS ENTRIES

Entries are being sought from former students of Lloyd Reynolds and Robert Palladino for a calligraphy and book arts exhibition to be held during the 2003 alumni reunions weekend, June 6–8. The exhibition, organized by Georgianna Greenwood ’60, will be part of a special classwide reunion and related Alumni College celebrating Reed’s calligraphy heritage.

Exhibition participants will be requested to submit a short handwritten or book arts testimonial about their experience as students of Reynolds or Palladino, or about the influence Reed’s calligraphy program has had on their lives. Participants will also be invited to submit slides of their work for inclusion in an alumni slide exhibition.

Entry applications must be submitted by November 1, and work received at Reed no later than March 30. There will be a $10 submission fee. Call or email Carrie Hays, alumni relations assistant, for applications at 503/777-7789, carrie.hays@reed.edu.
