Third annual
fencing tournament

Peter Koo ’02, of Santa Monica, California, placed first in Reed College’s third annual Douglas Williams fencing tournament this fall. The tournament was endowed by Doug Williams ’63. Williams funded the tournament to promote fencing at Reed and to provide need-based scholarships to its winners who are currently receiving financial aid from the college. The remaining standings were Simon Hill ’01, second place; Zachary Mark ’03, third place; and Ryan Smith ’02, fourth place.
