Photography & Videography
OUR PHOTO & VIDEO LIBRARY
Public affairs maintains a collection of Reed images and video, which includes students and faculty members; major events, such as commencement, orientation, and Reunions; and general campus buildings, scenes, and student life.
If you need a specific Reed photo or video clip or would like to browse our collection, contact Cate Whitcomb, art director.
REQUESTS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY OR VIDEOGRAPHY
Public affairs covers expenses for photography that we expect to use on the college website or in college publications.
If you would like to hire a photographer or videographer for a department or individual event, we can recommend a quality professional or student to fit your budget and with whom you can work directly. Contact Cate Whitcomb, art director, for details.CAMPUS PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY FOR PERSONAL OR COMMERCIAL USE
Reed College is private property; however, we do not generally restrict amateur photography or videography (except drones) on campus if intended strictly for personal use. Reed community members do reserve the right to forbid or restrict photography or videography, even that intended for personal use, at any time. We request no general public use of drones at any time on the Reed campus.
News media photography and filming requests are handled by the media relations team.
Professional filming and photography done with the intent to sell images and/or video require written consent from the college, adherence to our policies, and payment of fees. This includes professional family or wedding shoots, images intended to use in books, work to build a portfolio, and images that will be sold online, etc. If you are a professional who wants to photograph or film on the college campus, please contact conference and events planning.
