The tentative schedules we’ve provided here give you an idea of what to expect during New Reedie Orientation. Between now and when you arrive on campus, sessions may shift and new activities will be added, so refer to the paper schedule you will receive at Orientation check-in for the final details. For now, enjoy getting an idea of what’s to come.
In addition to the general Orientation schedule that’s for all new Reedies, we’ve also provided schedule information for those of you who will check in early for odyssey trips and information specific to transfer students, nontraditional students, and students living off campus.
Throughout the schedule section, items marked as (PO) indicate programs specifically targeted to parents; items marked (GO) indicate programs that are generally obligatory for students.
Only students who have preregistered for an Orientation odyssey will be able to move into the residence halls early.
Click on schedule items marked with the symbol for more information on the activity.
Now that you have landed in the U.S. and arrived on campus, your Reed journey begins. The first thing you'll do is check in at 28 West and get your room key, ID card, and International Orientation Odyssey materials.
If you preordered your Hum 110 books, bed linens, or any other items, you'll be able to pick them up today. This is a good chance to browse in the bookstore, too; you might find something else you need.
Pick up your Reed ID card and other Orientation materials at Kaul Auditorium before you head off on your odyssey adventure. Once you're registered, you can pick up your room key at the Physical Plant.
Please join us in Kaul Auditorium's Gray lounge, for light refreshments after registration. This is an excellent opportunity to have questions answered by staff members and to talk with other new parents.
