FLUTIST LINDA BAILEY TO PERFORM PORTLAND DEBUT OF DAVID SCHIFF'S SUITE FOR FLUTE AND PIANO
Portland, OR (October 24, 2003)–Linda Bailey will perform the Portland premiere of David Schiff’s "After Hours," a suite of encores for flute and piano composed for the 2001 Aspen Music Festival, on Thursday, November 13, at 8 p.m. in the Reed College chapel.
Internationally renowned composer David Schiff is professor of music at Reed College. Bailey is completing her degree of Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Washington, under the tutelage of Felix Skowronek. Following her performance, she will discuss various performance issues raised by the work.
