REED CHAMBER ORCHESTRA CONCERT SET FOR 11/24
The Reed Chamber Orchestra will presents its opening concert of the 2002-03 season on Sunday, November 24, at 8 p.m. in Reeds Kaul auditorium. The concert, sponsored by the Reed College music department, is free and open to the public. The chamber orchestra will present a program consisting of the Overture to "Coriolanus" by Beethoven; Brandenburg Concerto no. 3 by J.S. Bach; the Concerto Grosso op.3, no.5 of George Frederich Handel; and the Rumanian Folk Dances by Bela Bartok. It will also feature the debut performance of the Reed cello choir performing two pieces by Julius Klengel. The performance is under the direction of Armando Bayolo, Reed visiting assistant professor of music.
