COLLEGIUM MUSICUM PRESENTS WINTER CONCERT

The singers of the Reed Collegium Musicum and the Reed chorus, directed by Reed visiting assistant professor of music Paula Creamer, will present "Endings and Beginnings"--songs of winter, new years and weddings--on Sunday, December 6, at 8 p.m. in Reed's Kaul Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public; for more information call the Reed events line at 503/777-7755.

Pieces performed will include Cantata #196 (Der Herr denkt on Uns) by J. S. Bach, Reincarnations by Samuel Barber, and selections from Winter Cantata by Vincent Persichetti. The Bach Cantata will be accompanied by a string ensemble composed of Reed students and faculty members.

Paula Creamer received her Ph.D. in conducting from the University of Washington. She has conducted community choruses and orchestras in the San Diego area for many years and has taught music at various San Diego colleges. She recently conducted for the Oregon Bach Festival.
