POLITICAL SCIENTIST WILL DISCUSS THE RESULTS OF THE 1996 ELECTIONS

Gary Jacobson, professor of political science at the University of California, San Diego and a highly respected authority on American electoral politics, will discuss After the "Revolution": the 1996 Elections at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, November 7 in the Reed College psychology auditorium. Jacobson's lecture will provide a critical interpretation of the results and ramifications of the 1996 elections. Gary Jacobson is the author of numerous books, including The Politics of Congressional Elections (Addison-Wesley, 1996). He is widely quoted and referred to in newspapers such as the New York Times.
