Pre-Orientation Retreat
Reed's Peer Mentor Program offers an opportunity for incoming students from under-represented background to build connection with each other, and current Reedies who are excited to share about their own first year experience at Reed.
Students who have signed up for this program must attend a one-day Odyssey the day prior to orientation, where students are introduced to fellow new Reedies, peer mentors, staff, and faculty. A central focus of this retreat will be for students to get to know one another, and to learn about the various campus resources available in a more intimate setting.
The peer mentor retreat is useful for students who are eager to meet their peers, and for students who have questions about adjusting to the Reed culture. The purpose of the retreat is to connect with the networks on campus, start establishing relationship with fellow members in the program, and get a sense of the diverse body of students at Reed.
