An expenses-paid, intensive summer training program, the SSF places up to 12 talented students in the psychology laboratories of some of the most outstanding researchers in the Washington, D.C. area. The lab experience is six weeks in length. The SSF program gives students an opportunity to explore the intellectual, personal and social processes of scientific inquiry and to experience cutting-edge psychological research through hands-on laboratory activities.

The Johns Hopkins Laboratory for Child Development is seeks dedicated, mature individuals to join our research during the summers. We investigate aspects of children’s cognitive development including language learning, memory, reasoning, and numerical cognition. The internship involves 40 hours of research per week for 8.5 weeks. Students are eligible to receive credit or a small stipend.

We are currently inviting interested and enthusiastic individuals to apply for the Social Perception Action and Motivation (SPAM) Lab Summer Internship Program at New York University. The program seeks to provide a rich and comprehensive research experience for a select group of volunteer research assistants. The program will take a hands-on approach to the research experience, engaging interns in the full spectrum of the social psychological research process. Interns will have an opportunity to read and discuss the latest articles and findings in our field, attend lab meetings where new ideas are developed and ongoing research is discussed, contribute to the design and implementation of study materials, help with data entry and analysis, and most importantly, spend time in the lab and in the field helping to conduct research.

The Family Institute at Northwestern University sponsors an eight-week summer volunteer research internship program for advanced undergraduates who are interested in learning more about a career in clinical research and intervention with families. The program is coordinated by the research staff at The Family Institute at Northwestern University under the direction of Lynne Knobloch-Fedders, PhD, Director of Research, and is designed to give students broad exposure to a clinical and research environment.

The Counseling Center at Pace University's New York City campus offers four undergraduate psychology summer internship positions.
