As director of the office of international programs at Reed College, where I arrived in 1977, I am responsible for administration of the College's international activities. My duties include oversight for: off-campus study; advising of international students and scholars; and on-campus international programs--including the 5 language houses and the language scholar program. My educational background includes undergraduate and graduate study at Stanford University and doctoral study at the University of Oregon.
