CIEE Buenos Aires
Students studying in Buenos Aires through the CIEE program will be given the opportunity to study at multiple universities, including the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales, Pontificia Universidad Catolica, the Universidad de Buenos Aires and the Instituto Universitario Nacional de Arte. Four semesters of college-level Spanish or the equivalent are required in order to qualify. The CIEE program prepares students for their study-abroad experience through a double-orientation, one half of which is undergone online prior to departure, supplemented by a two-week onsite crash-course in linguistic, methodological, and cultural preparation. Students will live in either homestays or in student residencias, which pair CIEE students with native Spanish speakers. Regardless of which housing choice is made, meals are paid for directly through the program, and are provided accordingly. Students will take classes at the CIEE Study Center as well as directly through local universities, to supplement and support their academic experience. The Center provides ongoing student support ranging from the academic to personal and emotional realms, and organizes numerous cultural and social activities.
