Reporting and Implementation Specialist

We are seeking a Reporting and Implementation Specialist to join our College Relations team.

Position Summary

The College Relations Information Systems (CRIS) team plays an integral role in supporting the mission of Reed College as an institution of higher education in the liberal arts devoted to the intrinsic value of intellectual pursuit and governed by the highest standards of scholarly practice, critical thought, and creativity. The Reporting and Implementation Specialist is an essential part of our team providing high-level technical skills delivered to end users with excellent customer service.

The Reporting and Implementation Specialist is the primary contact for end-user support for CRIS constituents and is responsible for creating ad-hoc reports for development, alumni relations, and the office of public affairs, while promoting the integrity of data stored in College Relations’ information systems through communication, training and documentation of policies, processes, and procedures.

Reporting to the College Relations Information Systems Business Analyst, the Reporting and Implementation Specialist works with College Relations departments to enable data-driven decision-making at all levels and to ensure that data tools are used efficiently and effectively, providing high-level customer service to all constituents. This position will work closely with the CRIS Business Analyst to develop short and long term strategies and goals to continue to provide the highest level of data integrity, training, and reporting.

Essential Functions

Information Reporting:  Develops end-user and ad-hoc reporting structures in support of annual fund solicitations, alumni communications, gift accounting audits, data integrity audits and other requests as necessary.

Training and Documentation:  Develops training curriculum and documentation for tools and processes used by College Relations. Provides both one-on-one and group training for members of College Relations.

College Relations Intranet: Manages the College Relations intranet website, including preparation and effective organization of reports, templates, and documentation.

Minimum Qualifcations

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong creative problem solving and effective communication across diverse teams with excellent interpersonal skills. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2-4 years of directly related work experience. Knowledge of computer information systems, relational databases, and SQL required. Knowledge of Banner, higher education fundraising and alumni relations preferred.
