Reed College, one of the country’s leading private liberal arts colleges, invites nominations and applications for the position of Information Systems Business Analyst for College Relations. The Information Systems Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in Reed’s strategies of engagement with its external constituencies, acting as primary analytical support for development, alumni relations and the office of public affairs.  Reporting to the Director of Information Systems, the Information Systems Business Analyst works with College Relations departments to evaluate and document their requirements, review and track their projects, maintain a thorough understanding of the assigned business functions, assist in the selection and implementation of complex administrative systems, and track project outcomes in terms of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.

The Information Systems Business Analyst will be responsible for the following:
Information Reporting:  Analyze data requirements for the various constituencies within College Relations and, where appropriate, outside College Relations. Translate requirements into effective reporting specifications in support of gift accounting, annual fund mailings, alumni mailings, and other requests as necessary.

Systems and Technical Support:  Act as project manager for various College Relations Information Systems-initiated projects by reporting on requirements, delivery schedules, feasibility/ cost-benefit analysis, and output requirements. Take the lead to determine enhancements in new software releases and upgrades. Serve as a liaison with the Administrative Computing Department.

Training and Documentation:  Provide high-level workstation support for the College Relations division (Banner, Banner Self-Service, and ad hoc report tool ARGOS.)

Data Quality and Analysis:  Oversee the advancement/development ERP system (Banner) to ensure that data quality and integrity are maintained.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong project management ability, creative problem solving and effective communication across diverse teams. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5-8 years of directly related work experience. Knowledge of computer information systems, ERP software (Banner), and SQL required. Knowledge of higher education fundraising and alumni relations preferred.
