Exhibition: Anakena: The Easter Island Project
Viewing hours
Case Works in the Hauser Library
The culmination of an interdisciplinary artwork spanning five years, seven cities, and the island of Rapa Nui, Anakena explores the human urge to create and procreate, and our potential to transform through art, collaboration, and ritual. Tiffany Lee Brown will change the installation every few weeks and will provide the project story in an online format. “I hope Anakena furthers the cultural conversation about childlessness and parenting in our culture, the human urge to create, and the ability of art to make meaning.” Presented by the Douglas F. Cooley Memorial Art Gallery.
