Concert Series: Chamber Music Northwest
Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays, 8 p.m., Kaul Auditorium
Chamber Music Northwest's 44th Annual Summer Festival offers five exciting weeks of more than 30 concerts featuring 78 world-renowned musicians, composers, and dancers. Free, open rehearsals in Kaul Auditorium begin at 11 a.m. on June 27, July 11, July 18, and July 25. Informal Q&A sessions conclude each rehearsal; supervised children age 7 and up are welcome to attend. Ticket holders are invited to free, half-hour, musical conversations at 7 p.m. before evening concerts, except July 3–5. A free, family open rehearsal for children ages 5 and up is scheduled for July 6 at 11:30 a.m. The selection is Carnival of the Animals, by Camille Saint-Saëns, and families are invited to join in the CMNW tradition of a picnic on the lawn after the rehearsal. The final concert of the season is scheduled for July 26, at 8 p.m., in Kaul Auditorium. Concert catering is furnished by Bon Appétit. Tickets: 503/294-6400, email, or online.
