General Resources

On-Campus Resources

  • Career Services  (Nationwide Internship Consortium: searchable database of internships; can search by job keyword, e.g. "environmental")
    • IRIS database of off-campus employment and internships, which can be searched by industry, including an "Environmental/Conservation" category.
    • Alumni Career Network allows you to search for Reed alumni who are in ES-related careers (requires IRIS login)
    • Download tips (pdfs) on how to create your own internship and network
    • Bcop mailing list: beyond campus opportunities.  Career Services uses the bcop listserv to communicate opportunities ranging from summer internships to post-graduation employment. Off-campus opportunities are archived at the bcop archive (you must be a listserv member to visit the archives).

The ES Program has a small amount of discretionary funding available to sponsor unique opportunities for students not possible to fund via other means (e.g., Opportunity Grants, Initiative Grants, home department funds). Please ask any member of the ES Committee for more information.
