First Aid & CPR

EHS and the Safety Committee sponsor community-wide First Aid and CPR at predetermined dates.  The first part of the course is designed for anyone outside of the medical community that is interested or required to learn the basic skills in aiding in cardiac arrest.  Covered is conscious choking, CPR, and Automated External Defibrillator or "AED" for the adult, child and infant victim.  The second part of the course will cover the steps to aid in many different minor medical situations including bleeding, burns, broken bones, stroke, heart attacks, and severe allergy reaction with EPI pen administration. You will leave the course with certification in both First Aid and CPR.

If you are interested in enrolling in the next offered class, please email ehs@reed.edu for more information.  All training is 4 hours in length.
