Tenure-Track Position in Statistics

The Reed College Mathematics Department invites applications for a tenure-track position in statistics at the rank of assistant professor to begin fall 2018 (more senior candidates will also be considered). Applicants should have a Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, data science, or a related field by the time of appointment.

We are seeking candidates with a commitment to teaching students from diverse backgrounds and to a strong research program that can engage undergraduates. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching statistics courses at the introductory and advanced levels and helping to build a growing academic program. Duties will include advising senior students as they write their theses, a cornerstone of the Reed academic experience.
