The mLab offers resources and services in support of the use of technology in teaching and scholarship at Reed. The mLab complements other CIS offerings through in-depth support, hands-on help, and cutting-edge gear. The mLab is supported by Instructional Technology Services (ITS).

You might want to visit the mLab if:

  • You've heard about a new technology and want to get help trying it and advice on how it might work for you
  • You need a place to do videoconferencing
  • You need access to a special technology like a large-format scanner or GIS software
  • You need to borrow a piece of high-tech gear like an iPod Touch, digital SLR, or tablet PC

In addition to offering equipment and meeting space, ITS can help you explore technology as it applies to your teaching and research. Get in touch if:

  • You would like help with a project that uses technology in teaching
  • You want to learn about how other faculty are using technology
  • You are interested in educational technology training
  • You would like to explore educational technology tools like clickers or smartboards
  • You are intested in a new-to-you area of technology (e.g. data visualization, digital media)

Interested?  Here's how to get started.  Also on these pages you can learn more about the resources and staff of the mLab, as well as our purpose and schedule.
