- Click on Print. Wait for the Kerberos authentication pop-up and enter your network username and password when it comes up. These are the same as for your Reed email.

back to topTroubleshooting
Here are fixes for common printing problems. Do not hesitate to call x7525 or email twatch@reed.edu or cus@reed.edu if you have printing problems.List of printers does not show up
Run the KLPR Printer Setup installer mentioned above, choosing the correct one for your version of Mac OS. Make sure you click on Yes, Add printers when prompted to add public printers.
Kerberos authentication ticket fails to show up
You must have a valid Kerberos ticket to print. But sometimes when your Kerberos ticket has expired, the authentication window fails to appear by itself. You must then launch Kerberos manually. Open Machintosh HD/ your hard disk then go to System>Library> Coreservices and double-click on the Kerberos icon.

You can also place a shortcut to Kerberos on your dock so that you can easily launch it manually when it it fails to do so automatically. Right(/ctrl) click on the dock icon of Kerberos when it is open and select Keep in dock.

Kerberos does not accept my password
Make sure your username is correct. Sometimes the Kerberos authentication window comes up with your computer's sharing name on it by default. Make sure it is the username of your Reed email. For example if your Reed email is smithj@reed.edu, your Reed network username is smithj.
