Who should be allowed to post to the list?:

If you choose "List Subscribers only", be warned that the From: field in mail sent to the list must match exactly with the recipient's stored email address, or their posts will be rejected (or held for approval).

If everyone can post, do you want to approve all messages to the list?:

Do you want to be able to approve or deny folks' requests to subscribe to the list in the future? If you choose "No," anyone will be able to subscribe to the list without your review.

There are many other administrative options that you can set for your Mailman list. The default settings for these are suitable for most lists, but feel free to change them as you see fit. When your list has been set up, you'll receive an email confirmation from Mailman, our list management program. This email will include your list password, as well as a link to your administration page.

Subscribers

You will have the ability to add/delete subscribers at any time, by logging in to your list administration page.

Note:  By default, list archives will be Private.  Only list subscribers will be able to access the archives.  The Private/Public Archive setting can be changed in the administrative interface of the list.
