Lottery Macs for Students

The Deal

For a non-refundable $50 fee, you can borrow a Macintosh Laptop for the duration of the academic year or until you graduate, whichever happens first. Each Macbook computer comes with MS Office, Thunderbird (mail), Firefox (web), Symantec Antivirus and other software.

The Rules

To be eligible for a Lottery Mac, you must either be a thesising senior, or a student currently on financial aid.  Also, so that we can make these computers available to those most in need, students who already own a working computer are not eligible to enter the lottery.

Fill out the application (Reed Login required):  Lottery Mac Application

Winners will be notified by early October.

If you are a winner, you must come up with the $50 fee. You will get to sign an Equipment Loan Contract that basically states you’ll be good to the computer and will return it on time and in good working order.  Computers that are not returned by the due date will be disabled remotely.
