Mengiste will weave a personal account of her experience as an Ethiopian refugee with the current events in the region. Her debut novel, Beneath the Lion’s Gaze is a historical fiction account of the 1974 youth revolution in Ethiopia. This is a ticketed event. Regular tickets $15; Student tickets $10.
