Jane Buchan, Reed Trustee and
CEO, Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company
2:30—3:30 p.m., Friday, April 20, Greywood
Treats served!
Last winter, the following note was attached to a risk analyst position posted in IRIS:
Reed trustee Jane Buchan, CEO at PAAMCO, welcomes your pre-application inquiry. She writes, "The profile is to work on modeling securities and testing hypothesis…..our current individual in the job is a Harvard math major who is applying this year (year 3) to top b-schools. He will leave regardless (it is a three year job)."
Despite targeted outreach to prospective candidates, no Reedies applied, and Jane is interested to learn why. She is also interested in sharing her experience and thoughts about finance careers for the academically inclined.
We look forward to having you join us!
