Achieving success in a professional environment requires many types of interpersonal skills. This 3 hour session will attempt to offer a "blitz" version of some of the lessons yours truly has learned over 27 years in sales and investment banking – some of which were acquired during expensive multi-day training sessions with outside consultants. Topics will include:
-Tricks and tips for speaking successfully in large forums and small
groups.
-How to assemble and give an interesting presentation, and how to not
embarrass yourself or your colleagues when participating in a group
presentation.
-How to ask open-ended questions – an immensely valuable and powerful
life skill!
-Work group and hierarchy etiquette, including group leadership and
feedback models.
-"Corporate" dining etiquette and tips (yup!).
-Email etiquette, and more…
We will seek to videotape willing, and possibly unwilling, participants
so that we can practice a number of these skills. Always fun.
