Join Chicago-area alumni for a unique career development event on Saturday, January 8, at 2 p.m. Don Asher '83, an expert on career building and higher education, will speak on the ever-timely topic "Cracking the Hidden Job Market." With a philosophy-religion degree from Reed and a master's in human resources/organization development, Don comfortably spans the diverse worlds of arts and humanities as well as business.
Whether you're in the job market now or worried the economy or fate might send you there in the future, Don's latest research offers insight and techniques that will change the way you think about and approach a job search. Don's expertise on resumés, promotion, and employment is vital info for recent grads, seasoned executives/academics, and those somewhere in between.
Apply what you learn with fellow Reedies while enjoying light snacks and beverages at the networking reception that follows. Robin Tovey '97, assistant director of alumni & parent relations at Reed, will be on hand to share the latest news from campus. We also encourage you to join the
event if you are simply interested in catching up and schmoozing with
other Reedies in the Chicago area!
