Goldwater (Barry M. Goldwater) Scholarship

Description: The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship
Program was created in 1986 to alleviate a critical current and future
shortage of highly qualified scientists, mathematicians, and engineers.
Each scholarship covers eligible expenses for tuition, fees, books, and
room and board, up to a maximum of $7,500 annually.
Eligibility: Fall
sophomores and juniors who have outstanding potential and intend to
pursue careers in math, the natural sciences, or engineering; "upper
25% and "B" GPA" (but in fact, the GPA should be 3.7 or higher), U.S.
citizen or resident alien. Students who plan to study medicine are
eligible ONLY if they plan a research career rather than a career as a
medical doctor in a private practice. More information...
