Gain vital insight into work with the federal government from Bernie Deazley of the Department of Veterans Affairs graduated from Willamette University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology then went on to earn a Master’s in Public Administration at Lewis & Clark College (Portland, OR). He began his federal career with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) through an internship agreement with his graduate program.
In his presentation, Bernie will broad overview of the federal workforce and myths about federal employment (low pay, only based in DC, must have political science background and too much bureaucracy). There will be time for Q & A in this session, sponsored by the Annenberg Speaker series and OLAPC, the organization of which Reed is a member, that hosts the First Avenue Career and Graduate School Fair, this year on April 7.
