Union Semester, housed at the City University of New York's (CUNY) Murphy Institute, places students in internships at unions and affiliated organizations in the NYC labor movement and offers a course of study in Labor Studies through the Murphy Institute for Worker Education. The internships come with a small stipend and a scholarship. Students are often progressive, activist-mided students with a real passion for social justice.  We accept undergraduates, graduate students and recent college graduates who meet our admissions criteria.  We can take both domestic and international students and recent graduates.  Often the recent graduates are looking for connections in the labor movement in New York City and hoping to land a job at the end of the program - something we've had pretty good success with over the years.  More detailed information is available on our website at http://www.unionsemester.org.
