Friday, October 2, 2009
4-5:30 p.m., Vollum 120
The recruiting season for the consulting industry is well underway. You may be a senior already reaching out to prospective consulting firms and have questions about where to apply. You may be a junior preparing for the summer internship recruiting season that is just starting. Or, you may be a sophomore interested in exploring consulting as a possible career and just want to get an overview of what consultants do.
Come to a presentation by Peter Stockman and all your questions will be answered.
Peter (Anthropology ’77) is a lifelong management consultant and Reed Trustee. Before starting his own small consulting firm, he was a Partner with Accenture in its Energy and Capital Markets industry groups. He has helped clients with strategy and risk management problems in the New York, Hong Kong, Toronto, Charlotte and The Hague.
Peter will provide an overview of the profession and preparing for a career in consulting. He will describe the recruiting calendars consulting firms follow and how to decide where to apply for permanent and summer employment. Prepared remarks will be followed by an extensive question-and-answer session.
