Tuck in at Reed for a virtual information session with the folks from The Bard Center for Environmental Policy. Bard offers graduate study and practical training in preparation for environmental careers at the local, national, and international levels. Directed by environmental economist Dr. Eban S. Goodstein, Bard CEP is specifically designed to meet contemporary demands for leadership in all sectors of the economy. This unique and truly interdisciplinary program trains environmental leaders to understand the complex interconnections among the various disciplines involved in environmental policymaking, and to translate scientific results into feasible and creative strategies to take on today's most challenging environmental problems. Toward this end, Bard CEP offers the following degree options:

A Master of science (M.S.) in environmental policy,
A master of science and doctor of jurisprudence (M.S./J.D.) with Pace Law School,
A dual master's program (M.S./M.A.T.) with the Bard Master of Arts in Teaching Program,
A Master's International with the Peace Corps,
A Professional Certificate in environmental policy, and
A Master's of Climate Science and Policy* (NEW)

Distinctive elements include a thematic curriculum, multimedia communication and leadership training, an exceptional faculty, and professional internship placements in the United States and abroad. The unique coursework features integrated application of the natural and social sciences for the analysis of environmental problems and responses. Graduates are skilled at using various forms of communication to build support and consensus for effective environmental management and direction. The distinguished faculty is composed of experts, practitioners, and researchers who maintain close rapport with students through individual guidance and advising. Diverse internship opportunities permit considerable flexibility to meet students' needs and provide hands-on experience to facilitate entry into the job market.
