Hopkins-Nanjing Center Info Session
Wednesday, November 4
Vollum 228 5 - 6:30 p.m.
Chinese food provided! RSVP required by 5 p.m., Tuesday, November 3
Join Amy Weiner, HNC '08 to talk about the Hopkins-Nanjing Center. The only graduate program of its kind, a collaborative effort where degrees are jointly awarded by the Johns Hopkins University and Nanjing University, the Center offers a one-year Graduate Certificate in Chinese and American Studies and a two-year MA in International Studies. For the latter, you may choose to focus in one of four concentrations: International Politics, International Economics, International and Comparative Law, and Chinese Studies. Students participating in the MA program will receive a degree that is conferred by both Johns Hopkins University and Nanjing University.
The Center is a fully bicultural and bilingual institution located in Nanjing, China, on the campus of Nanjing University. Non-Chinese students take their classes in Mandarin Chinese while Chinese students take their classes in English, and MA students write and defend a thesis in their target language at the end of the two-year program. Hopkins-Nanjing Center graduates join a growing global alumni network of over 1,800.
Please RSVP to career.services@reed.edu no later than 5 p.m. Tuesday, November 3. Thanks!
