The third of three days in a nine-hour series taught by Tony Fisher, Reed '80. (You are not required to attend each day; it is simply suggested that you do to derive maximum benefit.) Tony teaches you the basics – stocks, bonds and other fixed income investments, alternative strategies, commodities, currencies. Asset allocation, risk measurement, performance evaluation, financial goals and planning. Family risk management – insurance. Methods of saving – tax advantaged vs. non advantaged accounts; i.e., 401Ks and their kin, IRAs., why bother to save, and so on.
