Dr. Lloyd Olson, '57, a former Pediatrician-in-Chief at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City and Dr. Jennifer Rupert '90, Kaiser OBGYN combine forces to bring you another timely health care discussion. Medical school admissions panels will ask for your opinion and test your understanding of health care in America. What do you believe to be the future of health care?  What are the causes of the health care crisis?  What impact do you want to have on the field?  What is the history of health care in Oregon and why was it this a news topic in recent years?

Dr. Rupert graduated from Reed with a degree in psychology. She took premed courses at Seattle Central Community College after deciding to pursue medicine. She attended U of WA 1997-2001. She worked at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington and Planned Parenthood as research assistant for several years after Reed. She did an OBGYN residency at OHSU 2001-2005, and since 2005, has practiced at Kaiser as an OBGYN. Her focus is on minimally invasive surgery.
